One of the ways we stay in touch with our family and far away friends is by the blog Lisa created when our adoption journey began.  Lisa maintains it with pictures and stories of what’s been going on in our lives.  Our families, Cristina, her family and our friends enjoy checking for updates and keeping up with our goings on.  There have been times when they will call and remind us that our blog has not been updated in a week or so!

We have been fortunate to form many close friendships over the years and some of our closet friends are also from out-of-state and because of that we have become extended family. Over the years we have spent many holidays together when we stay in town.  Some of these friendships are with families we met when we began the adoption process.  We are all parents now and our children are getting to be friends as well.  We share baby sitting duty with our friends and they with us to allow a night out as a couple here and there …and you can believe we all enjoy helping each other out!
